    I was stationed at Hickam with the 1957th comm group from 1960-1963 and Hale Makai was our barracks. Yes, the bullet holes on the outside walls remain as a reminder of 12-7-41.

    Yep. It had a rooftop terrace, too. I was there in '75 and '76. Watching the aircraft take off from Hickam AFB and Hono Int'l was a nice evening pastime. They would head straight for the club, then veer off on their flight plans.

    I changed the name on the main map from Porteus Hall (the old name of the building) to Saunders Hall. It has been known as Saunders at least since 2006, when I arrived.
